About Me

Hey There!

My name is Bame – pronounced “Ba – may”. I’m a qualified residential designer with a BA in Interior Architecture (Honours) and a Diploma in Built Environment.

Having worked in the building industry for over 10 years as an interior designer, prestart consultant and building contracts administrator, it’s safe to say design is my happy place!

I’m passionate about creating spaces that tell a story and are comfortable for everyday life. I love helping people design and build homes they will love for years to come.

When I’m not busy designing, I’m a wife to my best friend, Ted, and a mum to two beautiful girls who fill my life with the cuddliest of cuddles, lots of laughter, and constant chasing around.

My Building Experience

I have overseen hundreds of builds. Literally! But when it came to building my own home? Everything I knew went out the window. I had so many questions. I was filled with self-doubt, and spent many sleepless nights worrying about my budget and wondering what shade of grey I would choose for the walls.

To make the process even more stressful, my husband was away most of the time due to work. I found myself alone, struggling to balance a full-time job, the kids and the build – it was hard.

Luckily for me, I had an office full of experts to lean on. My colleagues were there every step of the way to answer all my questions. But this got me thinking, how does everyone else do it? How do people with no design knowledge or construction insight make smart building decisions?

Well… they make mistakes. They’re left feeling overwhelmed and pressured to sign off on building contracts they barely understand.

Avoid Costly Mistakes, Minimise Your Stress and Build a Home You Deserve

Seeing so many people struggle with the building process inspired me. I could use my years of experience in the industry and the lessons I learnt from building my own home to help simplify the process for you.

So I decided to create this community, a platform where I share my knowledge and support you through your build.

Whatever your budget, wherever your location and whoever you are building with, my tips will help you avoid costly mistakes, minimise your stress and build a home you deserve.

With a bit of help and guidance, I was able to make confident building decisions and build a home my family loves. And I know you can too.

I have so much to share and can’t wait to go on this journey with you.
